CHIMES stands for Capacity Building for Health Based Initiatives and ministries with EHE Enhanced Strategies. CHIMES is designed for community members who either are part of, would like to start, or have already established a health ministry. Although we fully acknowledge CHIMES can benefit anyone, CHIMES is designed to primarily address issues from the perspective of BIPOC populations and communities. BIPOC populations include Black, Indigenous, and other people of color. CHIMES focuses on helping those who are interested, have developed or want to enhance a health ministry. It particularly aims to help those who wish to implement health ministries in faith-based spaces such as churches, ministries, groups and other entities motivated by faith, spirituality, or religion. This is based on the understanding that faith leaders can have a significant impact on the health status of BIPOC individuals and communities. CHIMES gives them the tools to do so in an organized, evidence-informed way. We expect enrollees to understand and comply with the following: CHIMES is an interfaith program. All walks of faith, beliefs, practices, or spirituality are welcome in CHIMES so the belief systems of attendees, your co-participants may vary. We expect this to enrich your experience. Administrators of the program and all leaders and instructors reserve the right to remove individuals from the course, without a refund, for violation of the group agreements, or false claims on the Acknowledgment Form.
